After being closed last summer, Michigan's Adventure in Muskegon is finally opening next Saturday during the Memorial Day weekend but before they do that they need workers... and lots of them!

The amusement park is hosting a job fair today at the park from 3:30p-6p. They are looking to fill a variety of positions... basically any job you'd find at an amusement park such as:

  • Lifeguards for the waterpark
  • Food service
  • Ride operators
  • Mechanics and carpenters
  • Merchandise
  • Security
  • Guest services
  • Office Assistant

These are great jobs for anyone who's 16 and older or maybe retired and you're just looking to spend your summer in the sunshine. Michigan's Adventure says rates start at $14/hour and they offer flexible scheduling.

You can just show up to their training center on Whitehall Rd. today if you're interested in a job. But if you can't attend, no biggie! You can still see their slew of open jobs and apply here. The park plans on hiring hundreds of people over the next few weeks, and you can possibly start your new job opening weekend!

More info about the job fair can be found here.

As for the rest of us who plan on just visiting this summer, Michigan's Adventure has laid out their safety protocols and what guests can expect. This includes taking a COVID-19 test if you're not fully vaccinated prior to your visit and reservations will be required for single-day passes. Tickets must also be purchased online.

The waterpark, WildWater Adventure, will open June 19 and reservations will be required for that as well.

It's exciting to see how many open jobs there are in the area. UPS is hiring 150 workers in Grand Rapids, Gun Lake Casino is hiring over 200 people, and the city of G.R. is looking for lifeguards.
