Fishing licenses will be waived for these 2 days. Typically for Michigan residents, the license cost is $26. Normally, the recreation passport is required for vehicle entry into state parks and recreation areas, state boat launches, state forest campgrounds and state trail parking lots but on Free Fishing days, the need for the passport is NOT required. Residents and out of state residents can enjoy entry into all the Michigan parks. All fishing regulations still apply.
