The Skelton brothers were only 9, 7, and 5 years old when they went missing from Morenci, Michigan, on November 25, 2010. It has been nearly 8 years since their mom, siblings, grandparents and other family members have seen Andrew, Alexander and Tanner Skelton. Their mother, Tanya Lynn Zuvers Skelton, had filed for divorce from their father, John Russell Skelton, in September 2010 and had custody of the boys. John took them for a court-ordered visitation over Thanksgiving, and never returned them.

There has been much speculation around where Andrew, Alexander and Tanner could have gone with one theory focusing on Amish country and whether their father, John Skelton, left them there. At one time John mentioned the Amish as being the group.

In September of 2017, human remains were located in a shed in Montana. In December of 2017 Michigan State Police Michigan State Police said an investigation was underway to determine whether or not the remains could be that of Andrew, Alexander and Tanner Skelton. By February of 2018, authorities determined that the remains located in Montana were not those of the Skelton brothers.

The boys’ father, John Skelton is currently serving 10-15 years at the Bellamy Creek Correctional Facility in Ionia.

John Skelton pleaded no contest to three counts of unlawful imprisonment in September 2011. He claimed that he had not harmed the boys, but gave them to unknown individuals in an effort to keep them safe.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Michigan State Police.
