Say it isn't so!  Okay, it's not exactly as it sounds.   Seems the latest marketing gimmick from the company that makes Mike and Ike Candies are giving this old school candy a more updated marketed scheme.  Where Mike and Ike having a falling out and a "Break up" of sorts. It's actually pretty funny and maybe brilliant!


The new boxes will have “Ike” or “Mike” scribbled out, as well as on billboard advertisements. The back of the candy packaging with Mike’s name crossed out will feature a handwritten message from Ike calling out Mike for “spending way too much time on his music" and the like.  It doesn't officially say if Mike or Ike is actually gay, but does it really matter?  Live and let live. This is funny, and latest modern marketing strategy.  Do you think it will work?
