Cha-ching...you may have gotten a raise today but if you want $15 an hour...well you better keep honking!

The minimum has now been raised from $9.25 to $9.45. Kind of falls short of the $15 an hour that had been proposed. Maybe we should vote for an politician salary decrease to come up with the extra money to pay people who actually work and get their jobs done.

Hopefully you are working for a company that has at least 50 workers or more or the new medical leave will not affect you at all. If you do work for a company with 50 or more workers you are getting one hour of paid medical leave for every 35 hours you complete at work.

This pair of proposals were brought on by Michigan residents for of course the Republican led government of Michigan cut all the numbers way down. Now the state supreme court and Michigan Attorney General are going over the changes and if anything hopefully they will increase the changes rather than do what they usually do and cut the numbers for the working class.

Allegedly, the minimum wage will be bumped up to $10 an hour later this year and supposedly $12 in 2022.

If the state could speed up the wage increase and actually get to the original $15 an hour that was proposed, force insurance companies to lower auto and home insurance, force medical care and prescription drug prices down...we might actually have a booming economy...but that would make to much sense now wouldn't it?
