Reeths-Puffer High School principal Dan Beckeman showed off his rapping skills in the hopes of lifting his students spirits during the coronavirus pandemic.

Honestly, he's not half bad! And what a cool thing to put yourself out there and try to spread "Some Good News" during this time! So far the video has been viewed more than 16,000 times.

Beckeman told MLive he was inspired by the weekly YouTube show “Some Good News” by actor John Krasinski:

“One of our staff members thought it would be a good idea to create ‘SGN’ videos for our students to bring a bit of joy to their lives. We had a few staff members kick it off and I thought I would do something to show my support of our students and staff.”

Beckeman says he hopes his video will inspire other educators to connect with students and spread some cheer.
