Jamestown Township fire fighters spent most of Monday morning hosing hundreds of pounds of hot dogs and sausages off 8th Avenue, now they would like to "ketchup" with the perpetrator.

The firefighters showed up late Monday morning after complaints of debris in the roadway along 8th Avenue just north of the M6.

What was the debris causing the slipping and sliding? Meat. Hundreds of pounds of meat.

"We got out here and found several hundred pounds of mystery meat ground into the street. Looks like either ground sausage and/or hot dogs," Duane Miedema, chief of Jamestown Fire told WZZM-13 News.

After spending an hour hosing down the road, Miedema says his crews will now try and find out where the meat came from.
