It's wonderful to see businesses opening during a pandemic, especially when we live in a world now dominated by e-commerce.

Grand Rapids Business Journal reports on exciting news for the city of Ada, and specifically fashion-lovers. A brand new women's boutique store is now open at 460 Ada Dr. SE. Laurel & Jack is owned by two Grand Rapids business women who started the idea as an online shop only, but after seeing much success, decided to open a brick and mortar.

Owners, Laurel Ruge and Jaclyn Yared, told GRBJ that a flourishing town like Ada is quintessential for their store.

Ada’s mix of restaurants, stores and green spaces make the growing village a perfect location.

Laurel & Jack is a high-end clothing store without the high-end prices, which makes a shopping lover like myself very happy.

Our goal is to offer high-end items at a reasonable price to enable women to feel empowered and strong.

The boutique not only sells clothing & accessories, but also home decor pieces and gifts.

On Friday, Laurel & Jack invited people to come for their first "Sip and Shop" event featuring appetizers, drinks, and shopping (obvi). Follow their Facebook page so you know when their next event will be.

If you shop now through Sunday, 3/14, receive 20% off your order as a way to celebrate their opening week. If that isn't enough incentive, maybe the handsome greeter at the door will do it.

Dog-friendly store? I was already sold, but this just solidified things for me.
