Since 2013, Host Productions LLC has written and produced more than 20 live shows, performing the plays at theaters throughout Michigan and Ohio. Host Productions is about kick off their seventh season next month with “Ain’t Nothing Like Family: Ms. Wilkins Goes to Court" at the Frauenthal Center in Muskegon.

According to Grand Rapids Business Journal, the new theater and banquet facility is moving into a vacant property on GR's West Side "amid new and renovated apartment homes, family neighborhoods and restaurants." A specific address is not given. In the comments, a community member speculates if the new theater will be located in the old Civic building on Leonard Street.

Host Productions plans to hold regularly weekly performances as well as provide education on acting, playwriting, sound, lighting, and other aspects of theater. They'll also rent out the space as a banquet facility.

Terri Host, founder of Host Productions, tells GRBJ,

Our theater will offer high-quality, wholesome and affordable stage plays in a dazzlingly renovated facility. All of our plays center on the message of having a strong family foundation and overcoming life challenges. The undertone in each play is lighthearted, but hilarious comedy that every member of the family can understand and enjoy.

Host Productions is currently awaiting final approvals to start renovation on the building that will be the home for the new theater. According to Fox 17, Host Productions is expecting the community theater to bring in over $600,000 in its first year of operation and approximately $800,00 in its second year.
