Twisted Rooster on the East Beltine is no more and a new brunch restaurant is opening in its place this month.

GRBJ reports that Meritage Hospitality Group plans to open its newest concept, Morning Belle, on Sept. 26.

The Grand Rapids location at 1600 East Beltline Ave. is the first of 35 planned locations.

Gary Rose, president and COO of Meritage told GRBJ,

“We saw the need for a fresh, new breakfast experience in Grand Rapids and developed Morning Belle to both fill that need and be expandable to other markets."

The new restaurant features "white brick and shiplap walls, warm cedar accents, vibrant garden fabrics, large windows and fresh plants to bring the outside in.”

Grand Rapids chefs have developed a menu with locally sourced ingredients that will include traditional breakfast items, salads, grain bowls, glazed doughnut waffles, and cinnamon roll French toast. Morning Belle has been sharing photos of their scrumptious-looking entrees on Facebook.

Also sounds like Morning Belle will be a good spot to get your day-drinking on with breakfast cocktails like mimosas, bellinis, Bloody Marys, and spiked cold brews.

Morning Belle is now hiring cooks, servers, dishwashers and more here.

They'll be open 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Sunday.
