New Name, Affiliation, Coming For Grand Rapids Drive
After losing their affiliation with the Detroit Pistons in 2020, the Grand Rapids Drive will be known by a new name when they take the floor at the Deltaplex this fall.
We only had a few dance partners out there and Denver really showed the most initiative to get together and try to figure if there was a way, even with the distance, that we could figure out this partnership. They were really the only ones I talked to. We kind of figured it out from there.

Former Piston Ben Wallace is expected to remain with Grand Rapids as a board member/owner heading in to the 2021-2022 season.
The Pistons recently purchased the Phoenix Suns G League team and re-named it to the Motor City Cruise. They will have the team play in Detroit at Wayne State University.
