New P. F. Chang’s In Grand Rapids Is “Doomed”

Grand Rapids city planners have sided with Drain Commissioner Bill Byl and will cause the popular big city chain P. F. Chang's to not locate a new eatery on the East Beltline by D&W.

I could get into the whole deal, but the important thing is this: if you wanted to go to Chang's for dinner some night, I'd save a week's pay to drive to Lansing to the location there. The people who believe that we have way too many chains in town all ready are cheering. For those of us that like the options, we are a little sad. I'm not a big fan of the Asian inspired food Chang's has made famous, but it's always nice to have options. I would love to see a White Castle or a Cheesecake Factory here, but I'm not holding my breath.
