Yes it's not a sexy Presidential election day or even an off year Senate and House election day. It's a really Off off year election day. With lots of City commission and drain commissioner races, will you even bother?

You should! Who know when some of this stuff will effect you! Here's Channel 13's view of some of the area elections.

"In Grand Rapids, 2nd Ward Commissioner Rosalynn Bliss is seeking her third four year term. She is facing challenger Tom Kent who is retiring from his job as Deputy Director of Public Works in Wyoming. The position will pay $22,500 starting in 2014 and considered a part time position. That is a 3.3% raise from 2013.

The Grand Rapids Second Ward is large. Starting from the north it extends from 4 Mile and Plainfield, and south to Wealthy Street. From east to west, it extends from the Beltline to Monroe downtown.

Also in Grand Rapids, residents are being asked to approve a new tax millage to help improve parks, pools and playgrounds in the city. The millage would be a .98 mil increase and would be limited to seven years. The city has had to close several pools over the last several years, and scale back hours during the summer."

Like they used to say in Chicago...Vote Early and Vote Often!
