Now Is the Time to Buy a House in Grand Rapids If You’re a Millennial

Grand Rapids ranks among the best markets to buy a home for millennials, the Grand Rapids Business Journal reports.

For the uninitiated, “millennials” are the young adults who were born in the mid-to-late 80s and grew up with computers, video games, and cell phones in their hands.

Those little brats grew up and now they’re infiltrating the housing market- no more living in mom and dad’s basement!

According to a study conducted by the National Association of Realtors, which focused on adults age 25 to 34, Grand Rapids is ranked among the best "purchase markets" in the U.S. for "aspiring millennial homebuyers".

So, what exactly does this mean? Well, it actually tells us a few things!

First, it means the economy is improving! It also means there is enough significant job growth in the area to make home-purchasing obtainable.

I've experienced this somewhat first hand: I live with my best friend who also just happens to be my landlord! She’s been in her current place for two years and she isn’t even 25 yet!
