It's another One Hit Wonder Wednesday on the Night Shift with Craig Allen starting at 7 p.m. on 98.7 WFGR.

Our journey through the 1980s continues with the one hit wonders from 1986 this week.

GEORGIA SATELLITES - KEEP YOUR HANDS TO YOURSELF: Could there be a better title during COVID-19. The Georgia Satellites are actually from Georgia - Atlanta. Sadly the band didn't even stay together for a decade. "Keep Your Hands To Yourself" reached #2 in November. They almost had another Top 40 hit "Hippy Hippy Shake" from the Tom Cruise Movie "Cocktail" would only get to #45 two years after their first hit.

ROBBIE NEVILE - C'EST LA VIE: Robbie is from LA and is not related to the Neville Brothers from New Orleans. You might notice they don't even spell their last names the same. Robbie is so well know for this song that is considered One Hit Wonder even though his next biggest song was "Wot's It To Ya" yep didn't think you ever heard that one, I haven't. "Cest La Vie" a french term roughly translates to "That's Life" and would reach #2.

TIMEX SOCIAL CLUB - RUMORS: This R&B Funk Band is from Berkeley, CA. One of the old slogans for Timex was "It takes a licking and keeps on ticking" That wouldn't be the case for this band. "Rumors" would be their one and only hit reaching #8.

TIMBUK 3 - THE FUTURE'S SO BRIGHT, I GOTTA WEAR SHADES: This Texas husband and wife duo met while going to school at Wisconsin. It really surprises me that Ray Bay or some other sunglass company didn't use this song for their commercials. Their future was that bright only reaching #19 in October.

CUTTING CREW - (I JUST) DIED IN YOUR ARMS: This English band entered the charts in 1986 and the song reached #1 - not bad for their first effort.

Chart positions verified from Joel Whitburn's Pop Annual.
