Tonight on the Night Shift with Craig Allen from 7:00 to Midnight on 98.7 WFGR.

It's a One Hit Wonder Wednesday Night featuring the artists from the 1970's Disco Era who only had one hit.

Bell & James "Livin' It Up (Friday Night) this R & B duo reached #15 on the Billboard Charts in 1979. And would be their only Top 40 Hit.

Thelma Houston "Don't Leave Me This Way" Hit #1 in 1976 She was the lead singer of a gospel group and while she did have other song reach #34 called "Saturday Night, Sunday Morning" She's really a One Hit Wonder.

Anita Ward - "Ring My Bell" Another artist who hit #1 in 1979, but this R & B disco vocalist next biggest song was "Don't Drop My Love" Think I remember dancing to this at the Alibi.

Van McCoy & Soul City Orchestra "The Hustle" A #1 song from 1975 that started it's own dance craze of the same name. Sadly a few years later Van died of a heart attack. Do you remember how to do the "Hustle" It's very good exercise.

Amii Stewart "Knock On Wood" This DC board disco singer takes a remake of the Eddie Floyd song to #1 in 1979 too. You may also know Amii from the Broadway Musical Bubbling Brown Sugar.
