One Person Killed in Shooting on Grand Rapids' SE Side

Police are investigating a shooting in southeast Grand Rapids early Tuesday that left one man dead.

Wood TV 8 reports the shooting happened shortly after midnight in the parking lot of Miss Tracy’s Liquor Store on Franklin Street SE between Alto and Neland avenues.

The victim's identity has not been released. Police do not have a suspect in custody and it's unknown what lead to the shooting.

This is the city's 27th homicide this year. According to Wood TV 8, 2020 is on pace to be one of Grand Rapids deadliest years ever.
