Grand Rapids police are investigating after a shooting Sunday night in which one person was killed.

Fox 17 reports that officers responded to reports of a shooting around 7p.m. in the 1400 block of Plainfield Avenue NE.

Upon arrival, they found a 43-year-old man who had been shot. He was taken to Butterworth Hospital, where he was declared dead.

Police have not shared the victim's  identity or released any suspect information.

More than 30 homicides have occurred in the city in 2020. This is more than 2018 and 2018 combined.
