Back in  2017 Payless announced they were struggling with debt and were going to close about 500 stores... Then we learned they'd be closing the Woodland Mall and Rivertown Crossings Mall locations.

Well, it seems nothing has improved for the shoe retailer, because Reuters is reporting that Payless will be closing ALL of its remaining 2,300 locations when it files for bankruptcy later this month.

According to Reuters, a source says Payless has been unsuccessful in finding a buyer. While there might be a small chance a buyer could emerge after the company declares bankruptcy, a source says Payless has decided to liquidate and will hold going-out-of business sales at all stores in the next week.

So it's sounding like we'll be saying goodbye to Payless on 28th Street and on Alpine soon...
