Michigan skies are beautifully dramatic in the autumn, and this morning was no exception. What a way to kick off a weekend!

As the fall sunrise kicked over from a dark gray to orange and purple, a rainbow appeared from a distant rain shower, causing a beautiful display of color along the downtown skyline.

A propose that from now on we refer to these as Orange Sherbet Rainbows because they look like a bowl of orange sherbet with rainbow sprinkles. (Man, am I hungry or what?)

The colors are also kind of Creamsicle-ish. Is that a word?

Luckily, some folks on social media caught some great shots of it, so if you missed it, we got you covered right here.
