Plan Ahead: West Michigan Fairs and Festivals in March
We have events to help you "think spring"...from the Home and Garden Show, to Maple and Sugarbush Festivals, and even a Cottage and Lakefront Living Show. There are also butterflies, laughs, and more in the month of March.
World of Winter Festival
Runs Through Sunday, March 5, 2023 - Downtown Grand Rapids, MI
This is the final weekend to check out the World of Winter Festival. Downtown Grand Rapids will transform into a winter wonderland, giving you plenty of reasons to get outside and enjoy the season. The World of Winter Festival is one of the 10 Most Epic U.S. Winter Festivals Worth Braving the Cold For, according to TheTravel website. Butterflies are Blooming
Runs Through Thursday, April 30, 2023 - Frederik Meijer Gardens, Grand Rapids, MI
The annual Fred & Dorothy Fichter Butterflies Are Blooming exhibition is the largest temporary tropical butterfly exhibition in the nation. Tropical butterflies from around the world fly freely in the Lena Meijer Tropical Conservatory every March and April. Throughout the exhibition, there is special educational programming and the Lena Meijer Children’s Garden offers butterfly-themed activities. West Michigan Home and Garden Show

West Michigan’s largest Home & Garden show is back for its 44th season! With 13 feature gardens, five free seminar stages and over 300 local businesses featuring every product and service you’ll ever need, all under one roof, this is the show to attend! Kalamazoo Fretboard Festival
Friday, March 3 & Saturday, March 4, 2023 - Kalamazoo Valley Museum, Kalamazoo, MI
For the 18th year, the Fretboard Festival returns to Kalamazoo to celebrate the city’s stringed-instrument legacy and musical heritage. The free event also invites visitors to meet instrument designers and learn about their trade, attend workshops for a variety of stringed instruments, and hear live performances from area musicians. Grand Rapids Gun and Knife Show

Grand Rapids Bourbon Fest

Grand Rapids Bourbon Fest is an indoor bourbon festival that will feature over 200 whiskeys and bourbons, store picks, classic cocktails and high-end bottle section. Gilda’s LaughFest, the nation’s first-ever community-wide festival of laughter, has quickly earned a reputation for being one of the nation’s marquee events for both participants and artists.
