Prince took Washington, DC by storm over the weekend. Not only did he play two shows in the nation’s capital, but Page Six says he also played a special concert at the White House.

The VIP performance, which was referred to as a 'private' party, was attended by the likes of Russell Wilson, Ciara, Jon Bon Jovi, James Taylor, Tyler Perry, Angela Bassett, and Tracee Ellis Ross – was in celebration of African American Music Appreciation Month.

At one point, Prince even brought Stevie Wonder to the stage for a surprise duet of “Signed, Sealed, Delivered I’m Yours.” Needless to say, the 500 guests in attendance got a great show.

This raised the ire of journalists, who pressed the White House for details, as shown in this video, where Press Secretary Josh Earnest stone walls questions on the topic.
