The food truck serving up piping hot corn dogs gets a permanent location inside.

Pronto Pups Grand Rapids Goes Indoors To The Fowling Warehouse

The deep fried corn dogs served out of a pop up tent and a food truck at various breweries and distilleries and pizza joints around town may have found a winter home.

The Pups will pop up at the Fowling Warehouse, 6791 Cascade Drive in Cascade beginning today.

You can get beer battered corn dogs made with Founder's Centennial IPA from the Pup on Thursdays from 5-10, Fridays and Saturdays 5-12a.m. at Fowling Warehouse.

Pronto Pup's Portable Stand Had Been Moving Around Grand Rapids

The Pronto Pup pop up tent and their sister food truck has been a mainstay in Grand Rapids, but this is the first time a more permanent Pup stand has been available over the colder months. (The Pronto Pups GR truck is not affiliated with the long time beach stand in Grand Haven.)

Pronto Pups are a national treat that first appeared in Rockaway Beach in Oregon in the '30s. The Grand Haven location has been in operation since 1947, and the GR food truck version first popped up in April of 2020.

No word as to whether they will have a guy dressed up as a hot dog there as part of the festivities.

FYI -- If you're not familiar with Fowling -- it's like bowling only instead of a ball, you throw a football at the pins. It's actually quite enjoyable, and now made more so thanks to the Pup.
