While Sunday remains in the upper 30s to lower 40s, temperatures will drop over night, possibly bringing record-breaking cold to West Michigan on Veteran's Day.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory 3am Sunday to 7pm Monday. Temperatures will fall into the 20s overnight, and any moisture on the roads will freeze, causing a slippery commute Monday morning.

Fox 17 is forecasting high temperatures at 30 degrees on Monday. The previous record for Veteran's Day was back in 1950, with 30 degrees in Grand Rapids, 29 in Kalamazoo, and 27 in Muskegon.

One to three inches of snow are predicted for Monday, with the brunt falling south of I-96.

Monday night is when we'll see most of our lake effect snow showers, continuing throughout Tuesday. Some areas of West Michigan could see 5-7 inches of snowfall.
