The Red Hot Chili Peppers have deep Michigan roots, and they weren't about to bury them during a recent show in Columbus, Ohio.

Both RHCP drummer Chad Smith (Bloomfield Hills) and lead singer Anthony Kiedis (Grand Rapids) hail from our great State of Michigan, and during a recent tour stop in the backyard of the University of Michigan's arch rival Ohio State, Smith decided to represent.

During the Peppers' tour stop at Columbus' Schottenstein Center, Smith, the Will Ferrell lookalike, pasted the Michigan logo on his drum kit.

And if that weren't enough to draw the ire of the Columbus faithful, he sang an acapella (albeit tone deaf) rendition of the most famous fight song in the land to a chorus of steady boos.

And to make it even better, he did it all while wearing the Buckeye scarlet and grey. Nicely played, Chad, nicely played.
