The holidays are winding down and we head into the new year with new films hitting theaters in 2015.

It looks like "The Interview" -- Seth Rogen’s ultra-controversial comedy about an American assassination attempt on North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un — will open on Christmas after all.

The new movies start early this week with two releases on a Wednesday.
The releases this week include sequels for "The Hobbit" and "Night at the Museum" and the return of a precocious little girl named Annie.
MSU Gets Baylor in Cotton Bowl
For Alabama, Oregon, Florida State and Ohio State, the college football championship hunt begins.
Meanwhile, Michigan State, Western Michigan, Central Michigan and Notre Dame are also going to bowl games.
As for Michigan fans, sorry but you have to wait until next year.
