‘Survivor’ To Hold Michigan Casting Call
Do you have what it takes to outlast 20 other people for 40 days at a remote location? Sure you do! Then save this date -- June 5.
The long lasting reality series starring Jeff Probst will be holding open auditions on Wednesday June 5 from 3 until 7pm at the Value City Furniture Store (43620 W. Oaks Dr.) in Novi, which is in west suburban Detroit.
According to Channel 62, the Detroit CBS affiliate, you only need to bring yourself, some ID and a will to WIN!!:
Interested competitors, ages 18 and older, are invited to audition at the open call on June 5th. Photo ID required upon arrival. Please bring your signed Video Release Form to your audition.
Each applicant attending the Survivor Casting Call will be videotaped by CBS 62 and will have one minute to explain why they should be a contestant on Survivor. There is no need to bring your own audition tape to an open call – we will be filming you!
Former competitor Kyle Jason from Detroit will be on hand from 3-5pm. He actually earned his berth on the show from a Channel 62 audition, so it does work.
In a recent interview with EW, Jeff Probst revealed that the 20 new Survivors will be joined on next season's show by Survivor legends Boston Rob Mariano and Sandra Diaz-Twine, who will serve as mentors.
"They aren’t playing, they can’t cast a vote, they can’t be voted out, and they can’t win the million dollars. The basic idea is they run a Survivor boot camp. They teach aspects of the game and then give players a chance to test what they’ve learned.”
The new season will be called 'Island of the Idols', but no location has been revealed.
