Ever since I read that bizarre story about the ashes of legendary radio DJ Alan Freed (the guy coined the term "rock 'n' roll" for goodness sake!)  being “evicted” from his exhibit at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and Museum, I’ve had T. Rex’s “Ballrooms of Mars” stuck in my head.

"Ballrooms of Mars" appeared on T. Rex’s album "The Slider," which was released in 1972 -- seven years after Freed’s death.

The song mentions Freed by name and T. Rex is one of my top favorite bands (R.I.P. Marc Bolan). So, I’ve just had this song stuck in my head on repeat for the past 24 hours.

Now maybe you will, too. Enjoy!
