The ArtPrize Seven Jurors' Shortlists were revealed on Monday. The five finalists for Outstanding Venue contained a few regulars. SiTE:LAB, UICA and Kendall College have all been finalists before. The list also contained a couple of surprises with newcomers Processing Fiber at 250 Monroe and Spiral. Take a look inside.

Take a walk along the Grand River at Sixth Street Bridge Park during ArtPrize and one entry is sure to grab your eye, Copy Culture's "Minimalist Division". "Minimalist Division" is a large mirrored cube which allows visitors to walk inside.

ArtPrize Seven jurors narrowed down their favorites and gave voters more to think about as the jurors revealed their top five in each category at tonight's ArtPrize shortlist event.

Jeffrey Augustine Songco’s ArtPrize installation “Revelry” at Calder Plaza is a 200 foot long chain link fence originally decorated with 2,700 pounds of Mardi Gras beads. Only a fraction of those beads remain after most were taken by ArtPrize visitors on Saturday.

ArtPrize takes over Grand Rapids for a few weeks each fall. We are now familiar with the competition, but it can be difficult to explain to someone who has never attended or isn't from West Michigan. Grand Rapids Children’s Museum celebrated their sixth annual Kids’ ArtFest today during ArtPrize. Children enjoyed live performances, creating art and more!

ArtPrize artist Mher Khachatryan has displayed work in galleries in Armenia and the United States. His ArtPrize entry "Dedicated to the victims of 1915 Genocide" aims to raise awareness of the over 1.5 million Armenians who died.

ArtPrize artist Lou Rodriguez's "I Used to be an Octopus" is a 20 foot dragon at Calder Plaza. One of the dragon's claws also works as a seat. Rodriguez is encouraging visitors to have a seat and take a selfie.

Exported From Michigan is one of five films in the documentary category at ArtPrize OnScreen: Presented by Waterfront Film Festival, ArtPrize's new film competition. Exported From Michigan shares Michigan's recent economic struggles and rebound. The film also offers a vision on what it will take to keep moving forward.

Hundreds attended the Community Arts Celebration at Rosa Parks Circle in Grand Rapids to welcome the first day of ArtPrize. One of the events highlights was a Bob Ross look-alike competition. See photos of the finalists on stage and watch impersonations.
