The sixth annual Michigan Adventure Race: ArtPrize Edition will be held Saturday, October 8 in Grand Rapids. The race will wind through ArtPrize and feature both mental and physical challenges.
ArtPrize will hold the Eighth Annual ArtPrize Awards Ceremony on Friday, October 7 at Grand Rapids Civic Theatre. The celebration will include a live TV broadcast, public watch party and more.

Kirsi Ihalainen's "Finnish Forest Frequencies – sound installation" invites visitors to enjoy the sounds of a Finnish forest by hugging pieces of wood hanging from the ceiling at ArtPrize Eight.
Zimoun's entry into ArtPrize Eight has one of the longer names of this fall's competition, "250 prepared ac-motors, 325kg roof laths, 1.0km rope." It's also one of the loudest entries with 250 motorized wood beams repeatedly striking the floor at SiTE:LAB on Rumsey Street.

Grand Valley State University students have created an 18-foot, solar energy-producing module which will be on display during ArtPrize.
GVSU students will demonstrate the benefits of solar energy by powering LED lights, playing music and providing a space for anyone to charge their phones.
