Say what you will about Kevin Smith’s recent films or his persona, but there’s no denying that the filmmaker made the right call when he announced his intention to donate all future Weinstein and Miramax film residuals to charity. And now he’s inspired longtime friend Ben Affleck to do the same, as the Justice League star has revealed that he will donate his own residuals from Weinstein films to Film Independent and RAINN (the Rape, Abuse, and Incest National Network).

With rumors swirling that Ben Affleck would be stepping down from his role as Batman after Justice League, I don’t think it’s too much of a stretch to say that Warner Bros. needs to have a big day this weekend at Comic-Con. They need to be prepared to discuss Affleck’s rumors directly - confirming or denying as they see fit - and show off some footage for Justice League that keeps fans excited about the movie, regardless of the rumors circulating around it. Even those who believe that Warner Bros. has charted a new direction for itself with the addition of Joss Whedon and the success of Wonder Woman would admit that the studio has its work cut out for it.

We’ve seen more than one character take up the Robin mantle in various Batman comics, shows and films throughout the years — which makes the identity of the dearly departed Boy Wonder in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice somewhat intriguing. There are a couple of likely possibilities, each of them with their own plot implications, and while there’s been a fair amount of speculation, the big Robin question may have just been answered.

Just one look is all it takes for Henry Cavill’s Man of Steel to send the Batmobile conveniently careening into boxes of Gotham City gas (they keep gas in boxes there? What kind of city is this?).
