With a blizzard warning in effect and a powerful winter storm moving through Michigan, Governor Gretchen Whitmer has activated the State Emergency Operations Center as of 1 p.m. Friday.
It is time to make sure you are prepared for what the National Weather Service is Grand Rapids is referring to as the "worst storm in the area in many years".
Just as we are getting dug out from the record breaking snowfall last weekend, we are starting to hear of perhaps another powerful storm for Christmas weekend.
We all know how it goes here in Grand Rapids and West Michigan: "The world is coming to an end!" and "We will get 400 inches of snow an hour!"
It's kind of nice some place other than us was getting all the snow hype!
