Grand Rapids Public Schools are set to begin classes on August 24 and the district is updating families on its CoVid recommendations. The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services released new guidance heading into the school year.

The order was extended the same day it was announced that high school sports can restart, but was never made public.

As of Friday, 10 new locations will be opening in areas that aren't immediately in the Grand Rapids or Kalamazoo city limits.

The mosquito-borne virus is outpacing last year's numbers.
