Forbes magazine does plenty of lists tied to money, the economy and wealth.
This week, it released its list of the top 50 charities in the U.S.
The top three (based on the amount of donations received):
United Way.
The Salvation Army.
Feeding America.
Forbes has been heaping praise on Grand Rapids over the last couple of years naming us, among other things, the best city to raise a family in and one of the top 15 cities with emerging downtowns. But, it turns out the magazine doesn't heap praise on the entire Mitten State. Three Michigan cities have landed on their 2013 list of America's Most Miserable cities.
Grand Rapids is getting some more love from the folks at Forbes Magazine. They've already named us one of the ten happiest cities to work in, and the number one city to raise a family in, and now they've bestowed us with the honor of being names one of the top 15 cities with emerging downtowns!
According to a new Forbes magazine (unlike the RelocateAmerica article from last August that got all the attention a couple of weeks ago) Grand Rapids is the "Best place to raise a family"! Yay us! Grand Rapids not only is a great place to live, but we keep getting all these public accolades!
Ahh Forbes...thanks for the list of the top earning dead celebs! What's not to love about thinking of how much money Abe Vigoda's estate is generating for his family....oh wait. Maybe Abe is still alive...not possible...
