It is Memorial Day Weekend -- which kicks off of summer for most people. If you want to be a nerd, there is GeekFest this weekend. If you want something where you can be physically active we have Yoga, a 5K or disc golf. There is also plenty of shopping. A walking tour of Grand Rapids and the Parade of Homes. There is also Auto Racing and Fireworks.

First, how did I not hear about a “crack fries eat off” at HopCat? I think I could have been a contender. Second, this lady is a boss!

We have winter activities this weekend and we have some events that will make us start thinking of spring and summer! We have hockey, and basketball, and several shows as well. As always… plenty to do in West Michigan!

Three Barfly Ventures restaurants - Stella's Lounge, HopCat, and Grand Rapids Brewing Company - all announced via Facebook that they will close at 3 p.m. on Thursday so that staff may attend the memorial of a 7-year-old girl.

HopCat is celebrating its 9th year in business by having a party and you're invited! The party will be at all of its locations around the country, so obviously Grand Rapids will be celebrating. And how can you have a HopCat party without their famous Crack Fries...
