Pharrell Williams is speaking out for the first time about the “Blurred Lines” verdict, in which a jury decided he and Robin Thicke need to play Marvin Gaye’s family $7.3 million for ripping off Gaye’s tune “Got To Give It Up.”

Earlier this week, the family of legendary soul singer Marvin Gaye won a huge judgment from Robin Thicke and Pharrell Williams when it was determined their song "Blurred Lines" sounded an awful lot like Gaye's "Got To Give It Up." A U.S. District Court jury in Los Angeles ruled Tuesday that Pharrell Williams and Robin Thicke must pay $7.3 million for the family of the late Marvin Gaye for copyright infringement in their 2013 hit song "Blurred Lines," Variety reported.
