It's often said that there is nothing more exciting in sports than a Game 7 and the final game of the series between the Detroit Red Wings and the Tampa Bay Lightning Wednesday night, April 29th, did not disappoint.

All it took was one goal, scored by Lightning defenseman Braydon Coburn at 3:58 of the third period, to send Tampa Bay into the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

The second goal they scored, an empty-netter with less than two minutes to play, was just icing on the cake, as the Lightning beat the Red Wings 2-0.

Lightning goalie Ben Bishop was able to turn away over 30 shots, helping secure his team's spot in the next round.

The Lightning will now play the Montreal Canadians in the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
