I know people are really missing baseball, myself especially. Today, I want to take a look back at what has been searched and estimated as the biggest 9th inning comeback in organized baseball history. The achievement came from our very own Kalamazoo Growlers as they were to able to make a triumphant 11-run comeback against Waterloo on June 11th, 2015 at Homer Stryker Field. The Growlers were down 11-0 in the 8th and were able to score a run to go into the 9th down 11-1.. The closest comeback in baseball history in Michigan up until that point was back in 1901, when the Detroit Tigers were 10 runs down in the 9th inning and came back to win their very first major league game against the Milwaukee Brewers (pre-play-by-play data).

Let's take a look back at this historical comeback victory, starting at the bottom of the 8th inning. Let's hope this magic carries over and helps keep the Growlers season on pace to start on time this year.
