The Calder Cup has returned to the Calder City. The Grand Rapids Griffins beat out the Syracuse Crunch Tuesday night to clinch the Calder Cup Championship in Game 6 of the best of seven series.

The sold out crowd at Van Andel Arena was a force to be reckoned with throughout the game, though the Griffins were never in the lead until the third period.

The 4-3 victory brings the Calder Cup back to Grand Rapids for the second time in five seasons. The last time the Griffs won the cup, in 2013, it was also against Syracuse.
