The NBA announced last night that they are suspending game play for the remainder of the 2019-20 season.

The announcement came in response to Ruby Gobert, a NBA player on the Utah Jazz, testing positive for the coronavirus.  Moments before tip off between the Utah Jazz and the Oklahoma City Thunder the two teams abruptly left the bench and returned to the locker room.  About a half hour later, the announcers tell the crowd that the game has been postponed.  A few hours after the Utah Jazz game was postponed, the league announced it will be suspending all games.

Here is the full statement from the NBA: "In response to the coronavirus pandemic and following the NBA’s announcement tonight that it is suspending game play, the NBA G League has also suspended the 2019-20 season, effective after tonight’s games."

There is currently no information as to if and/or when the league will return for play.  This news came shortly after the NCAA announced that their Tournament will have no spectators.
