If you have been in downtown Grand Rapids in the last year or so, you probably noticed a building under construction that looks very similar to the Flatiron Building in New York City.  That building is the brand new Residence Inn and it is finally completed and had its grand opening yesterday.

The construction of the building was delayed by about 6 months due to the coronavirus pandemic and the grand opening event was cancelled, but the hotel is finally open for business.

This brand new downtown venue is the perfect place to check out for a downtown "staycation" or just a great place to settle down for the night after enjoying Grand Rapids.

According to the article from Wood TV 8, "The 13-story hotel at 40 Louis Street NW is home to 147 suites, a heated indoor pool overlooking Van Andel Arena, fitness center, guest laundry room, conference room, 24-hour coffee and tea station and a covered outdoor patio complete with a fire pit, grill and guest seating."

Check out a time-lapse video of the construction of the Residence Inn from Wood TV 8 below.

The hotel is taking reservations right now and has some "first guest" treats from Hop Cat and Oh Hello Branding Group.

Great News!! We are now taking reservations for our opening night!! You can join the fun as one of our first guests by...
