Things To Do This Weekend: August 19-21, 2022
It's another busy weekend. We have a dozen different events scheduled here in the West Michigan area. There will be a little bit of everything...baseball, music, quilts, beer, art, festivals, and dogs swimming!
Summer is always a great time to check out a baseball game at LMCU Ballpark. This weekend the West Michigan Whitecaps take on the Lake County Captains. On Thursday it will be Rivalry Night. Friday is Pirate Night. The teams puts on their Beer City Bung Hammers uniforms for Saturday's game. On Sunday, it's Las Calaveras de West Michigan. Here’s a festival I bet most people have never been to…The Michigan Fiber Festival! It is Michigan’s largest sheep and wool festival. Wednesday, August 17-Saturday, August 20, 2022 - Greenville, MI
The 2022 Danish Festival theme is: "Sankt Hans Aften" - Celebration of Summer. Some of the events for the kids include the Danish Dandies, a coloring contest, a Lego building contest, a drive-in movie, a fairy tale parade, and the Hans Christian Andersen Park. Events for everyone include an open air breakfast, the Danish Dash, the Marketplace and Food Court, and the Artisan Fair and Boutique. It's another two day music festival at Belknap Park. This month the Breakaway Music Festival returns to Grand Rapids.

Saturday, August 20, 2022 - Ross Park, Norton Shores, MI
The schedule includes the 45th edition of the traditional Art Fair, plus the annual Arts & Dash 5K, the Arts & Wheels Car Show, and a children’s activity area. Arts & Drafts also hosts a beverage tent featuring live music throughout the afternoon and evening. The Grand City Show Skiers will perform a water ski show on Mona Lake during the Arts and Drafts Festival. Prepare to be entertained with jump stunts, water ballet, human pyramids on skis, barefoot skiing, and more! Saturday, August 20, 2022 - Downtown Ludington, MI
Suds on the Shore is held in Downtown Ludington from 12:00 Noon to 5:00 pm featuring breweries showcasing their signature craft beer, wine, mead and cider. Sunday, August 21, 2022 - Richmond Park, Grand Rapids, MI
It only happens once a year -- a chance for your dog to swim at the Richmond Park Pool. The Wag 'n Wade dog swim will be from 12 Noon to 4:45 pm. There will be four pawsome 1 hour sessions for dogs to swim. Each session has room for 175 dogs. Registration is required. More information can be found on The City of Grand Rapids Facebook page.
