The Accidentals' love letter to our state, a song called 'Michigan and Again', has been covered by a group of third graders from up north, with the kids making an earnest effort to keep true to the original. I would say they succeeded.

This video makes me wish I had grown up 'Up North'.

The third grade class of Harbor Springs elementary school not only recorded their own version of the song using the original instrumental track, but they went out and lived and recorded themselves doing Michigan stuff like trout fishing and jumping off piers to make it that much more special.

Music teacher Jason Byma, who put the video together, not only got permission from the band to record the song, but he told The Accidentals sent him the instrumental backing track to use.

The group later shared the kids version on their Facebook page.
