The World Series opened up last night in Houston. It's well known that the Astros and Nationals have quite a bit of former Tiger pitching talent, but did you know there are three former West Michigan Whitecaps involved in the fray?

Two former Caps stars, Don Kelly and Joe Espada are coaches for the Houston Astros. Kelly is the first base coach, while Espada is the bench coach.

And former Caps and Tigers reliever Fernando Rodney will be seeing some time out of the bullpen for the Washington Nationals.

Three more reasons the Whitecaps are still one of the best franchises in the Minor leagues!
