Throwback Thursday: Union High Cross Country 1980

I don't know how good the Red Hawks Cross Country team was in 1980. I only know if you were on the team, you're in this photo I found online.

This team photo, posted by the Grand Rapids City Archives Instagram feed, shows Union High School team well dressed in their red and white and ready to go run three miles, complete with those classic striped tube socks we wore back then. It's a look that will always say, 'The '70s aren't quite over!!'

Perhaps you were on this team and are stunned that your hair looked that good.

I'm guessing the guy in the upper left corner was the fastest on the team. He seems to want to distance himself from everyone else.
