We here in West Michigan went to bed Monday night still able to see grass in our yards and woke up to a winter wonderland.

The storm that moved in early Tuesday morning seems to be packing more of a punch than was originally predicted, and now experts are saying we could see up to ten inches of snow.

The Winter Weather Advisory that was in effect for Kent, Ottawa, and other West Michigan counties was updated to a Winter Storm Warning overnight as the snow began to fall.

Most experts say we should see a lull in the snowfall around midday Tuesday, but that the snow will pick up again for our commute home this afternoon.

Many area schools are closed Tuesday, with others already cancelling evening activities.
