A restaurant in Kentwood had to close early after an altercation inside the establishment which eventually led to two people getting attacked.

WOOD-TV reports that Kentwood Police Department reported to an assault at Moe's Southwest & Grill, on 28th Street and Beltline. The incident happened just before noon and police say that the victims, a man and a woman

...were attacked with “a cutting instrument,”

However, their injuries weren't life-threatening and not described as stab wounds. The company confirmed to WOOD-TV that the woman is an employee at Moe's. The other victim and the suspect came to the restaurant to see her.

The suspect fled the scene before cops arrived and while he isn't believed to be a threat to public safety, police are still on the search for him. He's described as a black male in his 30's.
