U2 fans got a bit of a tease over the weekend. After a summer of rumors regarding the band’s new album, the latest claimed the Irish rockers would  somehow be involved in tomorrow’s launch of the new Apple iPhone.

Some rumors suggested the band would appear in a clip for the phone, after they were allegedly seen shooting some sort of video in Dublin last month. Other speculation claimed they may even perform at the event, while some reports went so far as to say that  U2’s upcoming 13th studio album would be pre-loaded onto the new iPhone 6.

But fans were soon disappointed, when a rep for the band denied the claims, stating “They are not releasing their album on the iPhone, and they are not performing at the IPhone launch.”

Still, U2 fans are holding out hope new information about the band’s album will be coming soon.  In February, they released the single “Invisible” which will allegedly be on the new album, whenever it finally hit stores. A rep for the band’s label Interscope told Billboard,  “We hope to have it out some time this year, and to have [the music] shortly.”
