I was always under the impression that city commission meetings or just government meetings in general were really stuffy and kind of boring, but I'm re-thinking this notion.

Tuesday night Assistant Grand Rapids City Manager, Doug Matthews, posted a video on Twitter with the caption:

Just another normal Commission night...nothing to see here -@Dougray_Earl

The video showed the entire room doing a dance to Jess Glynne's 'Hold My Hand' which is a great and totally underrated song.

I love what one commenter posted:

WHAT! IS! HAPPENING! i have seen a lot of bizarre meeting in my day but there has never been CHOREOGRAPHY.

Which is the best part, because even the guy at the bottom left of the screen is somewhat doing the dance - my favorite part!

I'm not sure exactly what was going on Tuesday night, but next time we elect commission members, I'm running for office now that I know they do choreographed dancing during the meetings.
