Von Maur Will Open at the Woodland Mall on October 12

While stores all across America are closing or going out of business, it's good to see there's still hope for others.

West Michigan will be getting its first Von Maur very soon at Woodland Mall. The department store is having its grand opening on Saturday, October 12th. It's where the old Sears used to be.

Based out of Davenport, Iowa, this is Von Maur's third Michigan location (Livonia & Ann Arbor). The store sells a wide selection of fashion brands ranging from Adidas, BCBG, Calvin Klein, Coach, and Kendra Scott but they also carry items from smaller boutique vendors. In addition, you can always get free gift wrapping and the store offers an interest-free credit card. Plus, a live pianist while you shop.

During its grand opening, there will be giveaways, prizes to win, and special events throughout the day including live music & entertainment for the kids. A ribbon-cutting will happen right before the store opens at 10 a.m.
